Overview Of 2011 New Honda CBR150R
There were lots of speculations about the launch of Honda CBR150R in India
and now it seems that the time has come, Honda has launched the 2011
model of CBR150R and it is expected that the new bike is going to be
launched by mid 2011 in India, previously it was expected to be
launched on 5th November - Diwali. But there has been no official
statement made till date about the launch of CBR150R and the 250cc bike
this year. So, it seems that the 250cc bike will be Honda CBR250R and it
is expected that Honda India is going to launch the CBR250R in 2011 in
Indian market.
Honda has unvieled the 2011 model of Honda CBR250R
and it will be launched in India in April, 2011. But we wished Honda
CBR150R to be launched in 2010 as it looks very promising and many
prospective buyers are waiting for this 150cc bike from last 2
years.
When Honda CBR150R is launched then it is going to compete
head on with Karizma ZMR & R15 if Honda India keeps the
price of CBR150R around one lakh rupees. Honda has launched the 2011
model of the CBR150R in Thailand and the design of new bike seems
to be inspired from the Honda's VFR series which gives look of
a big engined bike.
Expected Launch Date of 2011 New Honda CBR150R
It is expected that Honda India is going to launch the CBR150R
by mid 2011, previously it was expected to be launched on Diwali, around
5th November.
Expected Price of 2011 New Honda CBR150R
It is expected that Honda CBR150R will be priced around Rs.
1,00,000 which seems to be very competitive considering the fact that it
features a liquid cooled 150cc engine.
Design and Styling of 2011 New Honda CBR150R
In terms of design and styling it seems that Honda designers had
superbike VFR1200F in mind while designing the CBR150R. It features
similar looking headlight, tail lamp, engine cowl and front fairing. If
Honda India manages to launch the 2011 New CBR150R in India then it is
for sure that it will be the most handsome looking 150cc bike in India.
The small exhaust pipe design looks awesome which has been finished in
chrome to give it upmarket look. It also features step-up seat which
gives CBR150R a sporty touch with split grab rail which further
enhances the looks of the bike. The updated CBR150R has the VFR1200F's distinct headlight design while the body panels reflect the CBR lineage.
Instrument Cluster of 2011 New Honda CBR150R
Honda CBR150R features a very neat instrument cluster which is
dominated by the analogue tachometer in centre and digital speedometer
is placed below it. The orange backlight for the screen looks very cool
especially at night.
Engine Of 2011 New Honda CBR150R
- 149.4cc 4 Stroke
- 6 Speed Manual Transmission
- Maximum Power Of 19.5 Bhp
- Maximum Torque Of 17 Nm
The Honda CBR150R is powered by a 149.4cc 4-stroke carburetted single
cylinder 4 valve DOHC engine with 11.0:1 compression and CDI ignition,
mated to a 6-speed wet clutch manual transmission. Honda CBR150R
produces 19.5 Bhp at 10500 rpm and 17 Nm of torque at 8500 rpm.
Suspension & Brakes Of 2011 New Honda CBR150R
Honda CBR150R uses telescopic shocks at the front while the rear
is a monoshock one. 4-level adjustable monoshock suspension offers more
dynamic and responsive road handling even in challenging road
conditions. Brakes are discs at both the front and rear, sized 276mm at
the front and 220mm at the rear. Most of the high end bikes in India now
feature disc brakes like we have seen in Apache RTR 180, Bajaj Pulsar
220, Hero Honda Karizma ZMR & Yamaha R15. So, to cope with its
rivals it was must for CBR150R to features disc brakes at front and
rear.
Shades Available in Honda CBR150R
New Honda CBR150R is available in three shades:
- Sporty RWB (Red-White-Blue HRC)
- Black (with black wings)
- Red (with black wings)
